The Institute of the Twentieth Century has launched a call for the collection of photo materials, picture postcards, life paths, personal stories and recollections, and diaries. 2014 is the one hundredth anniversary of the beginning of the First World War.

On this occasion, the Institute of the Twentieth Century looks forward to receiving the mails and parcels of those who have any photo materials, picture postcards, and personal stories, descriptions of life paths, anecdotes, personal recollections or diaries at their disposal.

With the establishment of this collection of photos and memories of family history we aim to present that facet of the First World War which had an impact not only on the everyday lives of Hungarian families, but also on posterity.

The documents may be sent to the following addresses. Postal address: Institute of the Twentieth Century, H-1122 Budapest, Határőr út 35. E-mail: Further information: +36 (1) 212 71 40
